INTRODUCTION :

This project is a personnal accounts manager such as MsMoney or Quicken. Its differents features are :

• Several accounts in a single file
• Simple and readable configuration file
• Accounts' operations files are human readable (only by owner - or root of course)
• Simple interface with GTK+ or QT
• Text mode interface
• Non-interactive mode in order to program operations' input with cron (for regular credit or debit operations)
• Graphics
• Opérations list by category with sub-total
• Printing of an account or an operations list
• Easy modification of configuration options in case of new version
• Gnome / KDE support depending on the choosen toolkit
• ...

CVS :

SourceForge hosts the gAcc cvs tree. You can go there to get it.
The CVS web interface is at this address :

    http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/?cvsroot=gacc

Now the infos on how to use cvs with gAcc :

1. You need to connect to the CVS server as anonymous

cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.gacc.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/gacc login
2. Then get the sources

cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.gacc.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/gacc co directory
(directory must be "." since you have to be in you own gAcc directory)
3. After that, each time you want to get the latest source you just have to type

cvs update

DOWNLOAD :

• The gzipped tar file is available : gacc_0.7.5.orig.tar.gz (302922 bytes)
• The NEWS file will explain the changes made.
• The TODO file is there.
• The BUGS file will show you what the remaining bugs are.
• You can also take a look at the description files : gacc_0.7.5-1.diff.gz and gacc_0.7.5-1.dsc
• The debian package is also available
• Idem for the redhat package.
• And for the tgz binary package.
